New 2021 Porsche Macan facelift gets new look and a lot more power

Porsche has given its best-selling model – the Macan SUV – another facelift for 2021. The design revisions are subtle, though that’s unsurprising given that the Macan was given a styling update as recently as 2019. Still, there’s a new front bumper with a distinctive body-coloured inlay, as well as a a lot more aggressive rear diffuser with a 3D textured surface.

Sport design door mirrors are now standard on all models, as are LED headlights featuring Porsche’s dynamic Light System, and there are seven new wheel designs to choose from. There are also 14 additional paint colours, including Papaya Metallic, Gentian Blue metallic and Python Green, as found on other Porsche models.

The interior has also been brought into line with the rest of the range, with a new centre console that uses haptic touch surfaces in place of buttons, although the 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is unchanged.
There’s a stubbier gear selector and a new GT sports steering wheel, borrowed from the current 911. Elsewhere, Porsche’s analogue clock atop of the dash comes as standard, while contrasting stitching is now available in Gentian Blue, Papaya and Crayon.

The a lot of significant changes are mechanical, with the Macan, Macan S and Macan GTS all receiving a power increase and chassis revisions.
